Preparing and bottling multiple vintages of wine to bring sustainably grown, small-batch wines to market.

  • Founder-led: Created by a longtime vineyard manager with a Ph.D. focus in Pinot Noir chemistry
  • Sustainable practices: Vineyards farmed organically and regeneratively with unique use of Kunekune pigs
  • Growing brand: Wines have received positive scores and festival recognition
  • Vertically integrated: Owns and manages vineyards used for wine production
  • Use of funds: Focused on bottling, labeling, and launching existing inventory into the market

Cortell Collection is seeking funding to support the next stage of its wine production and market entry efforts. Founded by veteran vineyard manager and winegrower Jessica Cortell, the business is built around sustainable viticulture and small-batch, expressive wines produced in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The funds will be used to cover costs such as winemaking facility access, grape and barrel purchases, bottling materials, and essential packaging needs. By securing these resources, the team will be able to prepare inventory for market release, addressing the capital-intensive lag between wine production and revenue generation.

With decades of experience managing vineyards for high-end Oregon wine labels, Jessica launched Cortell Collection to realize her own vision of quality winemaking rooted in regenerative agriculture and minimal intervention. Grapes are sourced from her own vineyards and those managed under organic practices by her vineyard services company. The brand has already garnered industry recognition, and current inventory from multiple vintages is ready for bottling. Funding will help bridge the gap from barrel to shelf, enabling Cortell Collection to grow its presence through expanded distribution, direct-to-consumer sales, and continued innovation with varietals like Pinot noir, Gamay noir, Chardonnay, and traditional sparkling wine.

Company Info

Cortell Collection is a sustainable Oregon wine brand producing expressive wines from vineyards managed with organic practices.

Cortell Collection is a boutique wine brand based in Willamette Valley, Oregon, founded by viticulturist Jessica Cortell. After decades of managing premium vineyards and founding Vitis Terra Vineyard Services, Jessica launched her own wine label in 2023 to express her deep-rooted passion for sustainable winemaking. The Cortell Collection features wines grown and produced by her team from owned, leased, and managed vineyards across the valley. These vineyards are maintained with organic and regenerative practices, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and minimal intervention winemaking.

The collection includes Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Gamay noir, and traditional method sparkling wine. With an existing inventory valued at approximately two million dollars, the current focus is on bottling, labeling, and bringing the wine to market. Funds raised through the campaign support facility rentals, materials, marketing, and lab testing. Cortell Collection’s approach combines technical precision with artistic curiosity, producing expressive wines that honor Oregon’s terroir while building a vertically integrated brand. Their efforts aim to expand distribution, enhance direct-to-consumer outreach, and foster community through events and local partnerships.
